Should i go for X70 premium to take advantage of the SST exemption or wait for Corolla Cross to compare the pair, X70 is undoubtedly value for money but spare part and aftersales is becoming a problem while toyota is famous for reliability

Someone asked the same thing before in this forum, and i will repeat my proposal. Book the X70 first (and Premium model goes from 9month waiting list and building). You have until June to secure the d/payment. Can hold till June no matter since 9month to take delivery will surely pass the June mark. Till then, the Cross would have been launched (expected Mar/Apr). If you decided the Toyota, cancel your Proton booking and get back your refund. Win-win to your hearts content. 👍

Hi Xezus, A good step to take at first is to consider whether you're able to receive the X70 within the tax exemption period. Are you urgently looking for either of this? If you can wait, good, as more options are always better to weigh before pulling the trigger. Thanks!

The Corolla Cross is expected to be priced within the RM120k - 130k range, a little expensive than x70 premium. Plus the SST exemption, the difference would be around 10-15k. but I think it's worth getting a reliable car at this price
