RM 1k budget, which headunit do you recommend? I want a better in-car audio experience, the cheap 300-400 one are they as good as the pricy 1000 plus ones? Personally never experienced high-end brands one yet. Thanks.

Can consider Japanese import set. Sound definitely better than local ones. 1k budget can find Carrozerria or Alpine. Only two downsides is your FM receiver will get only up to 90.0mhz(unless use FM booster), and most of the words in player will be in Japanese.

Not sure how good is good for u. But ive personally installed a nakamichi nam1700 n it does wonders for me; mayb i have low expectations but nevertheless its a good budget headunit. With some nakamichi cs1617 on the front n 4-way 1617 on the back, the sound is suffice for me. Audio is crisp n bass is relatively clear n deep. If ure not an audio enthusiast/perfectionist, imo a 1k headunit isnt really neccessary; unless u have the budget to do so; so y not 😁. *driving a 2020 myvi with added soundproof, works fine with me.

JVC and Kenwood still makes good ones😁, it’s better to go for Android Auto/Apple CarPlay ones
