Owner Review: The most spacious & comfortable MPV in its class - My Mitsubishi Xpander Sport Indonesia

• I had a budget of Rp. 220 Million-250 Million

• Model(s) that I have considered include Suzuki Ertiga and Honda Mobilio

 Reasons why I bought this car

I need a family car that is tough and can fit a lot of passengers (7 seats), spacious, comfortable, and the price fits the pocket. In addition, the Mitsubishi Xpander Sport MT 2019 also meets my requirements:

• The price fit my pocket at that time

• It is the most spacious & comfortable MPV in its class

• After-sales is good, and service is okay

• The current model has a fairly high ground clearance

• The power of the 1,500cc engine is quite capable

User experience

• I have already done 5000 km

Since the purchase, my thoughts about the car are:

This car is quite spacious,  and it can fit 7 passengers without making them feel crowded. The soft suspension makes it more comfortable when driving long distances, and it doesn't make the passengers in the back seat suffer. The central doors are wide enough so that passengers access the rear seats more easily.

The cabin is quiet because the hood area has a kind of damper layer and the engine is not noisy. It can run on toll roads with speeds of up to 140 km/h without swaying, and the steering control still remains light.

There are many functional parts in the interior of this car, such as many holders for storing drink bottles, cellphones, books, etc. In the front & back there is also a cellphone charger point respectively. One more thing, there is a drawer under the front left seat which is suitable for storing sandals, newspapers, umbrellas.

1. Free warranty service that is long enough to save costs

2. Smooth engine, not noisy, steady suspension

3. The quietest cabin space compared to other Low MPV competitors

4. From the outside, this car is a contemporary model with a fierce character, daring to be different from the others

5. Fuel consumption is still relatively economical

6. The cabin is spacious, the safety features are quite complete, the steering wheel can be adjusted back and forth and up and down

Cons

1. Lack of rear parking sensor (released in the early year)

Summary

This car fits the car category that I have been dreaming of: spacious, comfortable & powerful engine. It really pampers passengers on the way with the soft suspension support & clear audio. As a big fan of Mitsubishi engines, when this product was launched for the first time I immediately fell in love and bought it immediately.

Interesting events that happened to my car

Simply pulling on the clutch shift lever. Most cars are usually in reverse gear ® when the shift lever is in the right rear position but this car is on the front left when pulling the knob. This knob functions as a safety.

When I was about to leave the car & forgot to lock it, it turned out that the door would automatically lock itself & the left and right mirrors also folded, I thought this technology would only be found in high-end cars but it wasn't.

Q&A

Q1: How does the Xpander suspension feel?

Very comfortable, according to the system information following the Lancer EVO. This is one of the reasons why I chose Xpander: the soft suspension is really different from Mobilio. Previously, I had tried a trip to sit in the back seat of the Ribs & Mobilio. The result was that the Xpander had a more comfortable suspension.

Q2: Do you have something to tell others who are considering buying Xpander?

When choosing a Low MPV, it's not wrong if the choice falls to Xpander. Although it is a bit more expensive than Avanza, Xenia, Mobilio, Ertiga, Xpander provides more value than those: the soft suspension makes the third-row passengers comfortable, spacious enough to be able to fit many passengers, transporting goods is wider when the middle/blk seats are folded.
