New car? Used car? or keep money in my pocket? Ativa is going to launch and I am planning to buy my second car. Ativa looks promising. Actually, a lot of friends around me have booked this car and they are encouraging me to buy. However, my salary is 4k, is it enough for me to cover the car? Buy it, or get a used car, or just forget it?

i would suggest a used car first..that too around 10 12k shud be fine..later after few years you can buy urs first new car..use this money to invest in learning new skills which will give ur higher job perspective which is directly proportional to having financial freedom!!!

Since it's 1st batch, might as well wait perhaps a year or two to wait for other users feedback. Usually the facelifted version will be a safer buy cause most problem will ve rectified. As for monthly commitment, as long as u keep ur monthlt instalment between 1/10 to 1/5 of ur monthly salary should be ok. Try go for 5 years loan if possible. In this pandemic, i suggest get a used reliable brand like toyota. A good condition used vios 2006 or myvi maybe a good choice as parts are cheap, reliable & fuel efficient. Keep the extra money for investment & emergency fund. Keep a balance between needs & wants. Hope it helps. Cheers. :)
