Mazda CX-5 VS Proton X70, Which one should I go for? Hey guys. Mazda CX5 or Proton X70, it is difficult to choose!! I do like the function and comfort on X70, but a lot of people say its fuel consumption is bad. Although CX-5 is good overall, I still think X70 is more comfortable. Which one should I go for?

I used to own a 2.5 CX 5(imported) and it was a good car had it for 8 years but as we all know with wear and tear I finally sold it and bought the second generation X70 I find that the Mazda is the better of the two and the X70 is under power guess I will stick back to Mazda when I decide to change car!!

Mazda is a great car with not much of things to complaint with. But I'd recommend X70. Yes it has bad fuel consumption, but that's mainly the CBU version with it's gearbox. X70 chassis is rigid and suspension is more comfortable than the XC90 I had at home (Volvo is bit too stiff). Plus, for the price of a CX5, say RM170k, you can get a X70 plus a Iriz or Myvi. Buy 1 free 1. Why not?

I am with you. X70 has better value, more tech, nice ride, great in areas such as NVH and overall fit and finish.

As a guy who drives a Proton X70, although its fuel consumption is not top-notch, it’s okay for me.

After all, we buy cars for our comfort, right?🤣🤣
