Is it worth buying a used BMW? Hi, everyone. I am planning to buy a used BMW. However I read up that there are a lot of used BMW owners who complain that used BMW isn’t worth it. They shared that the used BMW is not reliable and its maintenance is expensive. It is true? Anyone can share some real experience?

ya, used BMW do look premium than other used cars. maybe it will better to buy a car in recent years. You can’t afford the high maintenance cost haha

4 cylinder yes not worth it but you should buy without hesitation if it’s a 6 cylinder for the performance

I bought F30 last gear at premium selection and the maintenance cost is typically higher 20% than a Japanese car. I have a honda and a mazda at home too and there’s not much diff in terms of oil change etc. The expensive things would be the major parts like gearbox, engine etc but if it’s well taken care of then there’s nothing much to worry about it. BMWs gearbox is solid and reliable. It’s not as scary as what you hear from non owners. Join BMW club or any car club then you will learn alot from there.

I bought a 2015 used BMW 320i and it told me that BMW isn’t worth it!!! Its engine, tranny and electronics all unreliable and make me crazy
