So the story goes back to a few weeks ago. I drove my car normally at night on the street and was about to turn right. So I looked at the side mirror to check if there was any car behind. Immediately I was blinded by someone’s bright headlights for one or two seconds!! I couldn’t see where I was going and got a little panicked. Fortunately, nothing happened. But I thought it was very dangerous and wondered if there was something to avoid the glare for the interior mirror and side mirrors.
After doing some research, I sum up the following solutions:

Use the auto-dimming function
Actually the easiest way to solve the problem is to pull down the tab below the rear view mirror. Every car will have this tab, and once there is no more glare, just push it back up again!
2. Adjust side mirrors
Side mirrors are supposed to show your blind spots instead of the cars following you (that’s what the inside mirror do).If you adjust side mirrors to the right angle, you will not see the lights of the cars at the back. What you can see is the cars in the lane beside you when they are close to you. So how to adjust side mirrors? For the driver side, you need to lean your head against the left side window and set the mirror until you barely see the side of your car; for the passenger side, you need to move your head to the middle of the car and adjust the mirror so you just hardly see the side of your car.
3. Apply Anti-Glare Film
In case some of you are unable to adjust the side mirrors for some reasons, this would be your better choice. Just get some anti-glare films online or in stores.. Then clean the dust on your mirrors, spray some water evenly on the surface, and affix the films to your mirrors. And that’s it. Simple, right? The films could adhere to the mirrors smoothly with the help of water, so you don’t need to worry about things like glue sticking on the mirror.
Finally I tried the second method. After adjusting the side mirrors correctly, I could see the cars passing me without directly seeing their lights. And I was quite satisfied with the effect.
