WapCar Help Hanging vs floor mounted gas pedal? A lot of cars have suspended accelerator pedals. And I was wondering, what is the advantage of doing this? Based on my observation, most pricy vehicles use floor mounted ones. And I've heard that Toyota stopped using suspension pedals after the recall for safety reasons, but I see that most Mercedes Benz are floor mounted. So is it a cost issue? Or is it a front wheel drive issue? Or purely style? Can anyone shed some light on this?
