WapCar Help Does high tire pressure damage the suspension of the car? To get better fuel economy, I’m gonna have my tyres hyper inflated . But my friend persuaded me not to do so, he said too high tyre pressure would damage the suspension. Is it true?

in fact, not only will your tires wear prematurely, but they also could overheat, which can lead to tread separation and accidents.

imo the potential damages to the car vary greatly, depending on if the tire pressure is slightly higher or much higher.

Your friend was right. If tire pressure is too high, then less of the tire touches the ground. Your car will bounce around on the road and easily get pothole damage. so yeah it could cause suspension wear.
