Should I buy a Proton car or a Perodua one? As a daily driver on a budget, which is better, the Saga or the Myvi? The relevant criteria are running costs, maintenance and overall reliability.

if you saying about a budget car, saga is the one. both cars also different segment. myvi is B segment car meanwhile saga is A segment car. for the lower price range, sporty looks & handling, you can go for a saga. if you looking for a spacious, fuel save & quality wise (i'm saying this because i'm a saga facelift owner) just go for a myvi. just think of what benefit you the most in the next five years (but if you were choosing a proton with budget of a myvi, i suggest to go for a proton persona)

if purely city drive myvi should save you more on fuel. If your kampung far away then at least saga is comfortable on highway.
