I have purchased and used Toyota Kijang Innova for a year and a half, and I just went to the service center for a 50,000km service and inspection and maintenance. Toyota Kijang Innova is the most popular MPV model in Thailand, only updated in November. Now, I will tell you, what happened to Toyota Kijang Innova after 50,000 kilometers?
Car selection process
Return to the first day of purchase. At that time, my family mainly used the LCGC model (Honda Brio in 2012). As the children grow up, the small space of Honda Brio obviously cannot meet the long-distance travel needs of our family.
First, we considered the 7-seater SUV Toyota Rush. But the third row is very narrow, and his driving experience on bad roads makes the whole family feel uncomfortable. I realized that we still had to buy MPV models, so I considered Toyota Kijang Innova and Nissan Serena. For Nissan Serena, I am worried about her height. If you park in the mall, I think you can only park outside the mall because she is too tall, so I have to walk far after shopping. It is obviously very difficult to carry heavy objects. Moreover, the price is high, so this is my first reason to exclude it. Second, the maintenance price is high. As we all know, Nissan's repair shop in Thailand is not popular. I always worry about how to repair the car if the car breaks down in the middle of the road, and spare parts are more expensive. This will greatly increase my use cost. This is not a satisfactory thing.
Therefore, I had no choice but to choose Toyota Kijang Innova. Before going to the showroom to see this car, I just drove on the way to the airport. The short distance left a deep impression on me because of its spacious space and soft sitting posture.
My first feeling about the driver's seat is why it rebounds? Not soft at all. Even if compared with the Honda Brio, even if the Honda Brio is a cheap LCGC model, the driving posture is always very comfortable, and it always stays soft during long-distance driving, so that I don’t feel tired. The passenger seat in the second row is a separate seat with a backrest, armrests and a small folding table. For my family, it is very comfortable to use a smartphone, tablet or snack, and the seat has a recline Under the headrest. Finding a comfortable sleeping position is easy. My child likes the height of the seat and the floor, which not only makes it sit comfortably like a car, but also keeps our feet from getting tired. For head space, this is its biggest advantage as an MPV. My 6-year-old son can even stand upright in the car. The third row of seats can be said to be the most uncomfortable position in the vehicle. But almost no one wants to sit in the third row of seats for a long time.
Even though this car has a few shortcomings, its performance is much better than Rush. My child can play freely in the third row. Their height is between 165 cm and 175 cm. I am very satisfied with this car.
When it comes to riding, what fascinates me most is the horsepower and torque. The diesel engine of this car is 2800 cc, the power is 174 horsepower and the torque is 360 Nm, which is very good. This allows me to always surpass perfectly. What I want to say is that this diesel engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission is the ideal choice. The acceleration, deceleration, braking, gearbox and engine are all perfect. I never thought that the MPV model would provide me with such an excellent driving experience. But one thing I don't understand is dizziness, which may be caused by the shaking of the driver's seat or tilting because of the large front window. I often feel dizzy when driving. But the strange thing is that my family doesn't feel this way at all. My daughter has been in the passenger seat for a long time and said she really likes this car. According to him, this car is more comfortable than any car I've driven before.
After driving about 30,000 kilometers, the dealer told me that the front shock absorber might be leaking, but I never noticed it. After driving about 50,000 kilometers, my car started to bounce more frequently and worse than usual, which made me have to go to a repair center to adjust the shock absorber lubricant to solve this situation. It turns out that my adjustments are effective, but my car still makes me dizzy while driving, and the bouncing still reminds me to drive. I think the most basic thing is that this car is a family car. The driver must concentrate on driving. Only the family in the back row can enjoy it comfortably. Therefore, I only feel regret and have no complaints.
Another impressive thing is that it has no navigator, no advanced audio system, and no electrically adjustable driver seat. But it has a vehicle cruise control system, which really helps me cope with the increasing number of toll roads in Thailand. I can directly control acceleration and deceleration on the defense line. In addition, at night, when using a cool air conditioner, and a beautiful blue light appears on the cup holder or bottle, which is the function of the front cooler. All the advantages prove that this is a family-friendly car, and suitable for traveling with parents and children. Because it uses a diesel engine, even if there are 6 to 7 people, it will not lack performance like the Honda Brio, and its fuel consumption is very economical.
It can be said that after driving more than 50,000 kilometers, this car is suitable for families with parents or children, with almost complete facilities and very attractive. . Even if it causes a little dizziness during driving, it will not happen to everyone sitting in the car. If you only consider the comfort of the passengers and ignore the comfort of the driver, then this will be a car suitable for any road and any situation, whether the road is flat, uphill or downhill, it's raining... what I want to say No situation will be a problem with this car. I hope I can find more owners who love Toyota Kijang Innova like I do.
