Owner Review: No other cars can come close to its specs at similar price - My 2020 Proton X50 1.5T Flagship

Basic information about my car

Make and Model: 2020 Proton X50 1.5T Flagship

Time of Purchase: 6th November 2020

Price of vehicle: 105+++ on the road

Reasons why I bought this car

• Never had an SUV. My wife and I are Senior Citizens ( 65 & 61).

• X50 is easier to embark and disembark.

• Comfortable enough for just the both of us. Smaller than X70 but nimble. Affordable price for we are both Government Pensioners.

• Great looks too.

Car Selection Process

• I had a budget of 100K plus/minus

• Model(s) that I have considered include: Proton X70, Honda HRV

Reasons why I chose this car:

• Great Looks.

• Not too big.

• SUV is easier to get in and out.

• Affordable and value for money.

• No other cars can come close to its specs at RM105k.

User Experience

• I have already done 1,000 ++ km

Since the purchase, my thoughts about the car are:

Cons

• The Right-Wing mirror does not cover the road properly. At max selection to the right, I still see half the car and unable to cover the rear properly.

• Proton voice command, confusing at times. It does not understand our command properly a d comes on without being activated.

• Wind sound from outside.

• The headrest cannot adjust for a comfortable position.

• The sound system below expectations.

Summary

Happy to have purchased the X50 at 105k. However, could have been at 100k in comparison with the X70. The major issue to be sorted out is the Right Wing Mirror's adjustment.

Interesting events that happened to my car

Made many heads turn while I was driving. Because was on the road 10 days from launch. Many pleasant surprises from the ADAS system.
