2019 Proton Iriz 1.6 CVT Premium

Reasons why I bought this car

Before I bought Iriz I had to do some research, this car is built with a tough body platform that guarantees better safety known as Hot Pressure Frame (HPF) Body platform that reduces the impact in an accident.

Car Selection Process

• I had a budget of RM70k & below

• Model(s) that I have considered include: Toyota Yaris & Mazda CX3

Reasons why I chose this car:

• Their new refreshment design, beautiful black interior. Also got Hi Proton Infotainment

• Head unit as new development by Proton since Geely led the brand

User Experience

• I have already done 22,701 km

Since the purchase, my thoughts about the car are:

I'm super in love with this car even still with CVT Transmission. It is more fuel consumption efficient but please remember that this comes with a VVT engine. So the engine is more quiet & smooth. I had traveled to JB-PENANG without any problem compare to my previous car Perodua Bezza 2016. So it really worth it as Proton Iriz's philosophy 'Fun Drive'.

Cons

1. Slowly pick up (only during begin of cruising)

2. Need spacious rear boot even in B-Segment compact car

Hi, I'm Hakim from Johor Bahru, Owner of 2019 Proton IRiz 1.6 Premium. I fell in love with this car since its debuts in 2019. I finally have it in December 2019. This Iriz is superb & beautifully in design also performance.
