Reason why I bought this car
Personally I always dream of a big car, but for me to have an MPV more expensive and under power is not really fun to drive and not really practical for short drive especially to send a child to school and go to the supermarket, it is also not parking friendly.
In view of that, I preferred to have an SUV that is more practical and a handsome looking car.
I already went and booked X70 CBU in 2018, love at first sight, but no budget at that time so I canceled my booking.
This time I am really confident when I see many Malaysian choose to drive X70 on the roads. It is so beautiful, with lots of expensive features provided for only RM100+, it is an affordable and amazing car.
To me, I want to buy X50, thinking of my family getting bigger and I need more space, so I finally choose X70.

The reason why I choose this car
- This car has more space room than X50
- More powerful engine
- Affordable
- Technology wise perfect
- Easy to go for services in view of lots of proton after sales center around Malaysia
- User friendly
User experience
- I have already done 2500km.
- My average fuel consumption is 8.9L/km.
- Overall performance so far so good
- Beautiful inside and out
- Many accessory provided for this car
- Most I loved is the 360 HD camera, so beautiful and perfect
- Comfortable riding for long journey
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Powerful engine 184HP, 300 Nm Torque
- Nappa leather is so comfort seating
- Panoramic sunroof so big and giving fun and lighting inside the cabin
- ADAS is really helpful during driving
- LED projector headlamps are so bright and safety for night driving
- Proton voice command also helpful
- Proton link can control the car from far away and can track all journey the car had traveled
Cons
- Fuel consumption is terrible, even I didn't drive like before
- Boot so high, need to lift up a bit high especially heavy thing
- Tyre wide so small, not fit for larger car, for only 225/55/R19 not good enough to take sharp corner
- Wind noise so loud when approach 120kmh
- Rear aircond blower so slow, not really feel the air

Summary
When you buy a Proton, people always look down, maybe because of the brand, and after sales service and lack of spare parts for all types of car.
To me I don't really care what people say, I just pass through and am proud to have a locally assembled car instead of proud of using another country's car.
Proton X70 gave me new phenomena and a big change for Proton. I hope Proton can improve all lack and hear our problems and can settle all complaints that we all provide.
If you want to buy a car, just buy and enjoy your ride, it is your money not their money.
Some interesting events
First when I took the car, and went for tinted, people confuse with X50, then when I wrap half top of my car and delete chrome around the windows, people said looks like Range Rover Velar, I am so proud having my X70.
