Reasons why I bought this car

• Seek for a sporty coupe 

• Luxury feel

• Daily driving car

Car Selection Process

• I had a budget of RM130,000

• Model(s) that I have considered include: Toyota 86, BMW 420i, BMW Z4, Audi A5

Reasons why I chose this car:

Initially, in my car selection process, I am looking at BMW Z4, but it ended up with this E250 coupe is because of the spacious back seats. I was driving a 2005 Toyota Mark X previously, so for me it will be a bonus if a coupe has a spacious back seat.

Secondly is the design of this car. I like the design overall and this E250 coupe came with red seats. So it gave a much sporty feel.

Third, it is fuel consumption. with this 1.8 turbocharged engine, it gives me a very reasonable fuel consumption. Mt full tank is 65L, it can deliver 900km. I mainly drive on the highway.

Fourth, will be the interior of this car, mine comes with an AMG package with a huge panoramic roof. It gives me a very luxurious feel compared to its class. Lastly, it will be the brand value, since I am young, I am very crazy about W210, so this E250 coupe I owned was the last-gen that still maintained the "big small eye".

User Experience

• I have already done 20,000 km

Since the purchase, my thoughts about the car are:

Initially, I bought this car, I think it was kinda powerful which you can feel in BMW, but unfortunately, this 1.8 Turbocharged with 7G gearbox is kinda laggy. It is not as fun as a BMW but it is more towards a comfortable ride.

For a Benz, this car maintenance is still very reasonable compared to my previous Mark X. So far these are my maintenance cost for about 1 year of ownership:

• Normal engine oil service is about RM500 (every 10,000km)

• Gearbox oil and gasket service is about RM1,200 (every 30,000KM)

• Front brake pads and front brake disc RM1,400

• Rear brake pads and rear brake-disc RM900

With the Panoramic Roof it gives you a luxurious feel, but on the other hand, is the maintenance of the rubber seal. This is an 8 years old car, so it is very costly to change the full set of the rubber seal. So far mine is still ok, but in the future, it definitely needs a change.

The best of this car is the Auto Cruising. I mainly travel on the highway, so the cruise control is so far the best. When I cruise at 160km/h, it is still very smooth and comfortable.
