I was looking for a new family automobile or one that was more suitable for retirement in November of the year 2020 for a member of my family who had previously had a 2013 Honda CR-V 2.0. While she is transitioning out of her role as manager, she intends to purchase a brand-new SUV. She was working with a budget of RM150,000.
It was during COVID, a time when viewing automobiles is difficult and there is a lot of SOP, and there were a lot of different SUV alternatives available in the year 2020. Mazda CX-5, Peugeot 3008/5008, and Proton X70 were the three sport utility vehicles that she considered when she was shopping for an SUV. In the end, she decided that the CR-V back would better suit her needs.
The fact that she enjoys driving the previous vehicle had a role in her decision to purchase the CR-V, and when compared to the other competitors, this Honda provides a superior overall package. It is a more compact option for her requirements compared to the CX-5. In comparison to the Peugeot, she found that this one was not nearly as trustworthy. And in comparison, to the X70, it was not to her taste to purchase a car from the neighbourhood. Aside from that, she chose the 2.0 model because she doesn't want the extra power that a turbocharged engine provides for a vehicle and a 2.0L engine is more than adequate for her requirements. We did not conduct a test on a Toyota because a comparable SUV rival was not on the market at the time.

Advantage
Comfortable:
If I were either the driver or a passenger in this car, I'd say that the motorised chair, the leather seats, the suspension, and the noise reduction made for a really comfortable ride throughout the entirety of the trip.
Affordable:
When compared to its rivals, this SUV has a price that is more reasonable than its peers.
Reliable:
No problems or mechanical failures at any point during my ownership of the vehicle for a period of three years.
Spacious:
Because there is so much room inside the car, it is ideal for road trips with four to five people, including all their baggage, and a few mementos.
Disadvantage
Driving:
Since it was not designed to provide a joyous driving experience, operating this vehicle was not particularly enjoyable. When travelling at speeds of about 62 miles per hour (100 kilometres per hour), it was a little floaty and, at times, it almost felt unsafe.
Brake Hold:
This vehicle's brake hold function is clumsy and poorly tuned; therefore, drivers should avoid using it. When I used it during the breaks in the traffic, it made a lot of loud noises, and when I wanted to park my car, I had to remind myself to turn it off before I did so since it would abruptly brake with a lot of force when I sent it into reverse. I had to switch it off before I could park my car.
Entertainment:
My experience with connecting with Apple CarPlay is limited, and on the rare occasion that it fails to connect, I am required to restart the infotainment system.
Conclusion
We have owned the Honda CR-V for about three years, and I can report that ownership has been trouble-free. Aside from routine maintenance, I never even had to take the CR-V to the SC to have problems fixed. It has everything I need in a family vehicle—it is dependable, useful, roomy, attractive, and even fuel-efficient.
