New Proton X70 or used Honda CR-V? Hi,friends.I wanna buy a family car recently and considering between used CR-V and all new Proton X70,cuz my budget is around 110k. What I am concerned about is the reliability of Proton X70,cuz I read some bad news about the DCT transmission.CR-V won't have problem like that. So,what's your suggestion?

I am an owner of CRV 1.5TCP, bought 2nd hand with 29K on the odo. 2year car and still under warranty. To answer all concerns about CRV, buy 2nd, warranty; these are my honest inputs : 1) buy 2nd hand from PRE-OWNED dealers. I bought mine from Sime Darby Auto Selection KL. Look for premium brands dealers like Merc, Auto Bavaria... They will have Pre Owned selection section where people trade in theit cars to purchase the new brand car. Theae trade in cars go through strict checks.

Why test drive both cars new and make a decision based on your own needs? The both have their pros and cons. Of course 2nd hand comes with it's own risks but at least you will know if it handles like new.

I never heard Proton x70 have transmission issue. Just because VW have it doest not mean all the cars have it. And by the way there is tones of issue for CRV too. So buy as what you like..not what people tell you.
