With a spy shot of the BMW 330Li leaked recently, are Malaysian really looking forward to getting their hands on long-wheelbase version cars in this segment? I mean, is this really necessary? Since you are spending RM300,000 on a car already, why don’t just add a few more thousands to get the 5-series?

It makes 0 sense, the China market loves long wheelbase versions of everything. So car makers are trying to cater to them, not sure why Malaysia needs it. Having few inches more rear seat legroom doesn't make much difference in space. Your shoulder room is still lacking, seats are still narrow, headroom still the same as before. The 3 is still mainly a sports sedan, so it's not going to be as soft as the 5. I'm not surprised if people still buy it anyway.
