After observing its rival, BMW building the 3 Series Compact for some time, Mercedes-Benz had finally decided to build a similar car and was named the C-Class SportCoupe.
Based off the Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan, the SportCoupe is 180mm shorter with a lift back profile. However, due to requirement of additional strengthening for the chopped rear side, this means that the SportCoupe is only 10-15kg lighter than the sedan.
Secondly, it has stiffer dampers and springs which provide it better manoeuvrability and higher agility. Despite being a sporty vehicle, it still is not as sporty as a 3 Series Compact. However, I think that is more than enough for our roads.
