3k/month. Saga, Persona, Almera - which should I choose? Work at KL and don't want to take KTM anymore for the Covid-19. So Need a car for commutes and journeys. This will be my first cat, and this means a lot to me. Counting in fuel consumption and maintenance costs,which model is the best for me to opt...Proton Saga, Persona and Nissan Almera? (10K dp, 500-700 per month is best for me)

A vote to Persona! it's cheaper in cost of maintenance and gadgets than Almera. And Standard is enough for your need.

Forget about Almera. My colleague complains it so much that I my ears hurt😒

I have driven a Persona for 7 years, except fuel consumption, yet to find any major problems. I dunko why keep busting ALMERA. I have driven it before, and I felt it's easy to steer and quite friendly to fuel costs...compared to persona. Never drive Saga...but sure it's the cheapest one, and gives a rommy interrior. I would suggest try Saga out if need to save money. Personally, I will suggest ALZA if you are obssesed with the inside look. Need couple bucks up on the Persona price.

I would rather buy a Proton, and use the rest for my investment or saving. After all, cars will only depreciate and not appreciate.

Of course saga! You can also pay for persona. Just don't forget the annual car insurance, it will cost you a lot more. Almera is thought poorly. Many nagative reviews about it. Even the workshop guy againsts it. Quotes him: buying almera is buying troubles.
