Basic Information
2021 Bezza 1.0L (A)
INTRO:
When it comes to cars, I am willing to trade-off anything but not functionality, practicality, comfort, reliability and fuel efficiency as these are my top priority list.
DELIBERATION:
I was looking for a new and affordable car to replace my evergreen Proton Waja and was introduced to a Perodua Bezza 1.0L auto to suits my budget and needs. I was quite sceptical, which is in my impression are underpower and very basic compared to it's 1.3L sibling. It was during MCO and waiting list to obtain especially Perodua Bezza models was said to take four to six months. After much deliberation, I chooses the 1.0L.
WHAT IT BRINGS TO THE TABLE?
Compared the 2021 Bezza 1.0L and 1.3L, surprisingly... the exterior and interior are identical with only difference in engine capacity and some other non-essential stuff you may figure it out yourself. The driving experience in terms of comfort and handling are the same except acceleration and top-end speed, the 1.0L is about 15% less. It is a stylish car and again, with great practicality and a range of convenient and are equipped with Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), dual SRS bags, Electronic Power steering system and twin reverse sensors. And what makes it stands out in my opinion are the engine equipped with a Timing chain, no more timing belt. The car is also very affordable for example the road tax, only RM20 per annum and makes it a really utilitarian package at its price and in its segment.
THE POWER:
I have been driving this vehicle for over 10 months now and even drove it to places as far as from Kuching airport area to Kampung Prangkan, Serian and Kampung Stunggang Ulu, Lundu. The power generated by the engine is average (but make no mistake, it does able to accelerate decently fast topped up with a surprisingly steady top-end speed). However, the looks and the comfortable riding experience make up for the power.
FUEL:
The fuel economy are impressive and for example, full tank from Shell Station Siburan to Kampung Prangkan Mawang and back to MJC, Batu Kawa Kuching which covers the distance of 185km with an average driving speed of 80kmph at midnight, dropped only one bar. Leaves me and my friend (who tag along the trip, total astounded).
COMFORT:
The front space and the rear seats area are quite spacious so that the passengers have no problem in covering long-distance trips and it was proven as most of my passengers would fall asleep when travelling in it. It can definitely take five people in comfort and their luggage too, making it very ideal for family journeys.
SUMMARY:
Therefore, I would recommend this car to all those individuals who want to purchase an affordable ride with decent features. What else can I say as someone who owns one and drove one everyday, the compact sedan is one of the best in the entry level segment in terms of price, utility and efficiency. Goodday...
